Sponsorship Boost for Community Meeting Place
23 August 2016 by CSG
One of Irlam’s (Manchester) most popular community meeting places has received a welcome sponsorship boost from long-established local waste management company CSG Lanstar.
The company has agreed to fund a range of useful new facilities which will enhance services at Lady James’ Community Hall in Prince’s Park which is in Liverpool Road where CSG Lanstar also has its premises.
This invaluable community hub, originally opened in 1951, is home to a number of local special interest groups and hosts a wide range of weekly activities such as keep fit, dancing, bingo, yoga, gardening and arts activities.
A £422.30 sponsorship will provide the much-in-demand historic hall with a new leaflet dispenser, advertising board, letterbox and lockable exterior notice board which the hall’s committee says will improve exterior and interior services.
CSG has long accepted that it has a role to play in the local business community’s responsibility to act as a good neighbour, and willingly provides support for environmental and community projects both at home and overseas.
One of the ways in which it does this is as an enthusiastic contributor to the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) which allows waste management companies operating landfill sites to contribute part of their landfill tax liability to community and environmental organisations.
CSG has now supported no fewer than 150 good causes benefiting scores of local organisations in various parts of the country.
