CSG’s Health & Safety Week 2025
21 July 2025 by CSG
Between the 9th and 13th of June, CSG came together once again for our annual Health & Safety Week – and what a week it was!
Health & Safety Week is about building healthy workplaces and empowering everyone to get involved in keeping ourselves and each other safe. The theme for this year’s week was Safe Workplace Transport. Thank you to everyone across all CSG sites for your ideas and participation, making this year another huge success.
Read on to see what we got up to during the week…
Pedestrian tours at Cadishead

Our Cadishead site hosted pedestrian tours to help office staff get to grips with the site layout and hazards faced by our operational teams. These tours sparked important conversations about safety in different working environments, helping understanding between teams.
Van loading practice

We ran van loading practice sessions across our sites, focusing on safe manual handling and efficient, secure loading. These demonstrations helped everyone understand potential hazards and the safest methods to protect ourselves while working.
Jen’s Quiz

Always a highlight – Jen’s Quiz tested everyone’s safety knowledge (and competitive spirit) across CSG. A big well done to the Cadishead Engineers for taking the crown this year!

The Hazard Trailer
Could you spot the hazards? Our Hazard Trailer challenge was a huge success, with teams competing to identify as many hidden safety issues as possible inside a truck staged with intentional Health & Safety hazards.
Congratulations to Gary Lane, Mahef Razafimambason, Luke Crossley, Scott Ramsey, and Elinor Hull who spotted the most hazards and won bragging rights until next year!
PPE relay
Fastest hands in the business! Our PPE Relay saw two teams race to don full PPE (safety glasses, hard hat, overalls, gloves, safety boots), remove it, and pass it to the next teammate.
Here are the Winners of the PPE Relay looking rightly proud, with one still in their PPE gear:

First use checks with drivers
Drivers & office staff at our Coventry site took time to focus on First Use Checks. This helped to reinforce the importance of vehicle safety checks before every journey.
These checks not only keep our drivers safe, but ensures we maintain the highest standards on the road.

Health and safety video engagement
Teams across CSG engaged with our Health and Safety video content, sparking conversations around how people approach and behave around vehicles on our sites. Take a look at this video by clicking below:
