CSG pumps further £10k into charity’s sanitation work

Waste management specialist CSG has donated more than £10,000 to a charity that provides clean water and sanitation to developing communities – taking its total contribution past £50,000.
CSG pledges 50p to Toilet Twinning for every domestic septic tank it empties across the UK.
Toilet Twinning is a fundraising product of the aid and development charity Tearfund and helps communities overseas to create sustainable access to safe drinking water, a decent toilet and healthy hygiene practices.
Having cleaned more septic tanks than ever before in 2025, CSG has been able to donate £10,724 to the cause, taking the company’s total to £53,556 over the last five years.
As each toilet costs around £60, CSG has now twinned more than 880 facilities with countries such as Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi and Uganda.
Jen Richards, Managing Director at CSG, said: “We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Toilet Twinning and to break through the £50,000 mark.
“Toilet Twinning does fantastic work in developing countries and to play a part in that is a privilege. We receive videos from some of the communities our money helps support and it’s always a joy to see the difference the funding makes.
“We have thousands of domestic customers, some of whom have used our septic tank services for many years, and they often tell us they are pleased to be supporting such a worthy cause.”
Around 3.5 billion people in the world do not have access to safely managed sanitation – and 1,000 children under five die every day from preventable diseases linked to dirty water and unsafe toilets.
