A popular community festival which attracts thousands of people every year has received a financial boost from CSG.

Irlam & Cadishead Community Festival takes place over three days, featuring family entertainment, street performers, live music, games, funfair rides, delicious food and a spectacular firework display.

The event, now in its 76th year, is made possible through the support of local businesses, including waste management specialist CSG, which has contributed £450 through its Community Chest initiative.

Daryl Tunningley, Marketing Manager at CSG, said: “We’re pleased to be able to support this fantastic community event for another year.

“It’s always great to see so many people coming together and enjoying Bank Holiday Monday in such a positive way.”

Now running independently from the council, the Irlam & Cadishead Community Festival continues to be a highlight in the local calendar.

Festival Chair Sam Butterworth said: “Every year we aim to put on an event that can be enjoyed by the whole community. We have some fantastic entertainment planned this year and we are very grateful to all the businesses that have contributed, including CSG.”

CSG has 30 bases across the country and supports households and businesses with services ranging from septic tank emptying and treatment to the recovery and disposal of hazardous waste such as chemicals and oils. Its Cadishead facility remains the company’s flagship waste processing centre.
