Bristol girls football team secures waste specialist sponsorship

A thriving girls football team in Bristol has hit the back of the net with a new kit from a leading waste management specialist.

National waste giant CSG – which is currently building a new oil treatment plant in Avonmouth – has sponsored AEK Boco U14s Girls for the season, allowing the club to buy a new blue and black home strip.

The support has come through CSG’s Community Chest scheme, which helps good causes around its 30 UK bases.

AEK Boco U14s Girls play in the Bristol Girls League with their home games taking place at The Shield Pavilion on Greenbank Road.

Team manager Leah Stafford said: “We are absolutely over the moon to receive this support from CSG.

“AEK Boco is a large, successful club with many teams at different age groups. Nevertheless, it is always a challenge to secure the funds and sponsorship to pay for things like referees, training pitches and coaching badges.

“CSG were very willing to get behind us – and the logo looks fantastic on the front of the girls’ shirts.”

CSG helps households and organisations by offering a complete variety of services ranging from

waste collection through to treatment, recovery and disposal of countless waste streams.

Jonathan Maddy, CSG Regional Business Manager for South Wales & South West, said: “We’re proud to sponsor AEK Boco, which has more than 500 children in its ranks.

“The club has grown tremendously over the last 22 years and has been very successful. We’re pleased to be part of the journey.

“We have already supported dozens of groups across the country through Community Chest – and look forward to supporting many more throughout 2026.”
