Transport Coordinator, Bristol, 40 hours per week, £28,000-£30,000 per annum depending on experience

To plan efficient vehicle logistics for allocated areas. To plan efficient driver/operative resources for allocated areas and relevant waste streams.
To work with regional administration, sales and national accounts teams to ensure smooth transport administration is delivered across the region.

To plan efficient vehicle logistics for allocated areas.

To plan all daily, weekly and monthly work for the Bristol Region, ensuring the best efficiencies are met to achieve the best results with the regions KPI’S.
Working with team members, ensure all inbound calls are answered with reference to the Customer Charter.
Review the strategic position of the vehicles ensuring the highest efficiency is gained and keeping within all SLA guidelines.
Working with the Fleet Manager to regularly review the fleet of vehicles used in the allocated area to ensure they are compliant and meet operational needs.
CPC qualification is desirable. However training will be provided.
To plan efficient driver/operative resources for allocated areas.

Ensure driver performance is monitored and undertake disciplinary action where required.
Use a range of managerial techniques to ensure communication is effective and driver/operatives maintain motivation and focus.
In conjunction with the Regional Business Manager, ensure that the correct level of people resources is maintained to deliver service levels.
To ensure smooth transport administration is achieved.

Complete the full booking process for all sewage, forecourts, Industrial or PGF work. This includes filling out quotation build ups for each job, Allocating jobs on the PDA system in the correct running order, with the pre notification if required.
Confirm all tickets on Xeres and book waste streams into disposal sites.
Ensure all accruals are accurately administered in line with Group policy.
Work closely with the team to review pricing, ensuring that value for money is achieved alongside maintaining target margins.
Ensure each job is priced accurately and agreed with the customer and sales, ensuring the margins are maintained.
Ensure all drivers hours are checked against the PDA & Veri-location and confirm/input driver’s hours on Xeres.
Ensure driver holiday is managed efficiently to obtain minimum driver/operative resources at all times so there is no break in service levels.
Participate on the call out rota and ensure all emergency work is accurately coordinated.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who is looking to learn and develop their career within Transport management. Previous transport/logistic planning management is essential.

CPC Transport Management qualification is desirable but not essential. You must also have excellent communication skills and have the ability to effectively manage your time and workload in order to deliver the best service to our customers.
