Warm welcome to CSG Cadishead

Visitors to CSG’s Cadishead facility are now directed to a new purpose-built entrance for cars, thanks to continued investment in the site.
CSG’s flagship waste processing centre has long welcomed both deliveries and guests at the security gatehouse, with gatekeeper Phil Jones stationed at the weighbridge.
While trucks will continue to enter the site through the gatehouse, visitors in cars will now drive to a new entrance further up Liverpool Road. A secure barrier system there will allow access to a car park close to reception and the site offices.
Jen Cartmell, operations manager, said: “Improving vehicle access and traffic management has been undertaken as part of a quarter of a million pound investment at Cadishead, ensuring it remains the UK’s largest hazardous waste treatment and recovery facility.
“It demonstrates our commitment to the long-term viability of the business and ensuring the continued safety of everyone who enters the site.”
The £150k investment is part of wider investment programme at the site, which took in more than 93,100 tonnes of waste in 2017. Other investments this year include the installation of a new filterpress, which works to extract as much water as possible from various waste streams, subsequently reducing the overall amount of waste sent to landfill.
