Major Award for Cleansing Service Group Customer

Woodham Services, an independent forecourt business in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has been named Best Site in Northern England in the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards.
Recognising businesses with high operating standards and entrepreneurial skills, becoming the awards Forecourt Trader of The Year is one of the highest accolades for any petrol retailer.
Over 3,000 sites took part in the competition and Woodham won the award against strong competition in the up to 2.5 million litres per annum category. The awards are organised by the magazine Forecourt Trader and sponsored by Palmer and Harvey, the UK’s leading delivered wholesaler.
Woodham Services managing director Shan Sandanarajah said: “It is the first time this award has been won by a forecourt in the North East of England and it’s a huge achievement only made possible by the commitment and determination of all my staff to ensure the company is successful.”
Cleansing Service Group (CSG), which recently became Company of the Year in the Hampshire Business Awards, has provided Woodham with a range of forecourt services including interceptor emptying and cleaning of drainage channels for a number of years.
CSG’s group business development manager, Mike Wilson, said: “For an independent forecourt trader to win this award is a big achievement and we would like to congratulate Woodham on their success.”
Total Waste Management specialist CSG, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, is one of the largest privately-owned industrial and domestic environmental waste management groups in Britain, operating from 24 sites stretching from Cornwall to Kent and up to Middlesbrough.
