Cleansing Service Group (CSG), the Fareham-based waste management company, has powered its way up an influential league table of Britain’s most successful private firms.

The company has leapt 36 places – from 60th to 24th –  in the latest annual Sunday TimesPwC  Profit Track listings, which rank the UK’s 100 private firms with the fastest growing profits.

The list, now in its 12th year, ranks companies according to growth in profits over the last three years of latest available audited accounts.

CSG leapt into the league for the first time last year with 60th placing, but has rapidly risen in the rankings with an annual 89.6 per cent profits increase between 2006 and 2009. The company’s last profit posting for the league table was £3,435,000.

The listing confirms CSG’s reputation as one of the waste industry’s fastest-growing companies following significant year-on-year sales growth and a sustained acquisition programme.

The Hampshire-born company, which has been in existence for over 75 years, operates in a wide variety of waste sectors ranging from hazardous industrial waste processing at its award-winning facility at Cadishead near Manchester to the servicing of off-mains domestic drainage systems in which it is the UK market leader.
