Hampshire’s biggest waste management company has donated more than £2,700 to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
CSG – one of the UK’s largest waste management companies – has pledged its support to the charity for the tenth consecutive year, as part of its ongoing charity commitment.
The charity manages more than 50 nature reserves across Hampshire and the Island and works with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.
Steph Watson, from HIWWT, said: “We are very grateful to CSG for its ongoing support. Each of our members and supporters, like CSG, are helping to make Hampshire and the Isle of Wight wilder. Long term support like this means we can plan for the future and start to put nature into recovery.”
CSG employs more than 500 people nationally, supporting a national network of waste treatment and recycling service centres.
Daryl Tunningley, marketing manager at CSG, said: “As a business, we take corporate social responsibilities seriously and actively engage with a number of charitable organisations to lend our support and backing to a range of worthwhile projects.
“We are strongly motivated by the goal of diverting waste from landfill, recovering and recycling as much as possible from the waste streams that we handle, and ultimately protecting our environment.
“We are delighted to be able to support Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, as they work to protect and encourage wildlife for people and future generations – something we as a business are also very passionate about.”
