Environmental, Health and Safety Co-ordinator

Cadishead, Manchester

£25,000 per annum

40 hours per week

CSG is a nationwide award winning waste management company specialising in the transport and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Co-ordinator to join our Compliance Team, based at our treatment site in Cadishead, Manchester.The position would involve with occasional visits to other sites primarily in Northern England.

Person Specification

Role Profile:

·Update EHS related documentation and retain it in line with our Quality Management System

·Order PPE, distribute it to staff and retain associated records

·Effectively coordinate and communicate with personnel from all sections of the business to complete their actions set during meetings and audits etc. within specified deadlines

·Support management staff to implement and maintain their ISO systems

·Organise EHS training and events

·Design and deliver EHS toolbox talks

·Research applicable legal requirements and best practice to identify potential improvements

·Provide EHS assistance to the Site Managers of our Northern sites

·Organise EHS meetings, take accurate minutes and distribute them in a timely manner

·Ensure staff complete required inspections/reports and retain the records produced

·Communicate EHS news and events to staff e.g. via site noticeboards

·Respond to requests for EHS information

Essential Requirements:

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy

·Excellent IT literacy with ability to use Microsoft Office products and the internet

·Proactive and positive self-starter

·Excellent team working skills

·Well organised with good time management skills

·Currently working in an EHS focussed role

·Familiar with ISO Standards 14001, 9001, 45001 and OHSAS 18001

·Experience of organising group training

·Full UK driving licence

Desirable Requirements:

·Experience within an industrial or waste management setting

·Recognised health and safety qualification

·Auditing experience
